Choose to ignore would be a more accurate term than “believe”. I honestly believe that most people that deny are just the hard headed partisans that will NEVER concede that Al Gore was right all those years ago.

No – we aren't releasing "100s of millions of years worth." Another climate monger myth debunked: since early 1970s they've been saying "we are about to run out". Recent discoveries proven reserves of centuries more. "we're gonna run out" didn't work, so now climate alarmism.
