Isn’t there a black woman running for mayor with a platform that is based around Pete Buttigieg being horrible for people of color in South Bend? Not sure how that woman can say “we’re ok” with black people having 2x the poverty rate in South Bend...

1) 2x poverty rate for the black community is the American average. 2) Williams-Preston, the black woman running for mayor in South Bend, has supported Mayor Pete in his presidential bid, saying that, though he made mistakes early on, he has listened to the community an improved.

I feel there is a difference in congratulating Pete on his decision to run and saying I will vote for him. The jury is still out for me on that one. I can appreciate the change he made on housing initiatives in SB and it says a lot when a leader can admit mistakes. 1/2
