Many Trump opponents take it as an article of faith that NYT/WaPo/CNN/mainstream coverage will persuade the country of his faults. In doing so, they’re underestimating Trump’s ability to write/rewrite history of COVID response. Those outlets aren’t getting through.

I think there are some genuine indications of mismanagement. And even if this pandemic turns out to be less severe than the forecasts (fingers crossed), his and his administration's messaging at the beginning of it was highly irresponsible and dangerous.
