Quite a few Dems now regretful Shalala (D) effectively pushed Jose Javier Rodriguez (D) out of #FL27 months ago. Clinton +19 district, but Dems are stuck with a problematic candidate matchup.

If not even Rubio could carry the district in 2016, I'm skeptical that an R, even a Cuban one, will carry it this year.

I live in this district the hispanics here didn't like trump but have a history of voting for hispanic republicans locally. its not as D as the Clinton +19 says. Salazar fits the district just like ros-lehtinen did and Curbelo in FL26. mistake to not put an hispanic against her
