From what I heard from activists (@NdifunaUkwazi can confirm?), the man was asked and gave permission before these were shared. It is still awful that such an action was necessary in the first place.
Just seen video of a man being dehumanized by @CityofCT vigilantes. A sadistic power play, using usual tools of racism & classism. The man in the video will not thank us for sharing videos of his naked self, being violated in this manner. BUT the city MUST NOT BE GIVEN A BREAK!

Capetonians, can we not do something from okuncane esinako? i.e buy him things for the house, linens, blankets, carpet, and food, etc? We can mobilise and do a drop-off? He's one of our own, and this is just wrong on so many levels.
