From what I heard from activists (@NdifunaUkwazi can confirm?), the man was asked and gave permission before these were shared. It is still awful that such an action was necessary in the first place.

Capetonians, can we not do something from okuncane esinako? i.e buy him things for the house, linens, blankets, carpet, and food, etc? We can mobilise and do a drop-off? He's one of our own, and this is just wrong on so many levels.
