"we didn't change the rules, we just passed them." doesn't seem like a great defense.

Napolitano is almost always wrong.

Misleading. In prev impeachments, investigations were done by a special counsel, in secret, then turned over to Congress. Barr’s DOJ refused to investigate, despite multiple criminal referrals, & also failed to refer the matter to the FEC or Congress, tho’ required to do so.

The whistleblower complaint, thus blocked multiple times by Barr’s DOJ, made its way to the House, which is now having to do the investigation that should have been done by the DOJ. Investigations in the early stages are always secret for good reasons.
