Well they dont need to continue letting the Democrats hold the American people hostage either. President Trump doesn't have to declare what is already apparent.....its time to stop the crisis by any means necessary.

Totally agree. This would open doors that do not need to be opened, ever.

If President Trump declares a state of emergency on our southern border, the point is not that he is acting without Congress, it is that congress refuses to act to an emergency that has been building for decades. He would be acting with in the law that was given him by Congress.

She's wrong. There have been 32 declarations of "National emergency", and most are still in effect. One of the biggest was Obama's "National Emergency" to bomb Libya. @POTUS can declare one and get the money from various agencies, not just the military.

But all we heard was crickets from everyone when all the past presidents did it....some over 10x (Obama 13!...and one was about Burundi). If this wasn't Trump and the Dems didn't need all the new voters, we wouldn't be hearing about it now.

how many more days do we wait?? Or would you rather him cave?? At some point, we have to end this stalemate and we have to get a wall...so whatever it takes...we're talking about trying to save our country here!!!

Great article. I have to hand it to you and Kimberly Ross. I see Trump is finally straining your conservatism. As you say, it's the Dems that are Trump's emergency...and I think he wants to go forever with it, because he's terrified of what's coming. Anyway - thanks!

Presidents can bomb defenseless countries into rubble and slaughter scores of civilians without congressional approval, this is just a fence.
