This is such an utterly ridiculous article. Someone who receives a Purple Heart remembers that day because the date is repeatedly listed on all the paperwork (application, award etc.) It is something that would be seen and read repeatedly. Why would the date of a party matter?

I was a police officer and there were a number of times I was assaulted and injured on the job. I reminder the details of every 1 of those incidents very clearly even though some are over 30 years ago. I don’t have a clue as to the dates. That is not something that I remember.

Here is another really stupid line in the article, “Why provide witness names? Why this detail when other details are missing?” Details like being in the room alone with 2 drunk guys is memorable. The address of the party is not. Two guys on top of you - memorable. Date? No
