I wish I knew...
Sometimes you just gotta accept that some people are too dumb to learn

when i was in recovery from surgery..my husband was my advocate. and my sons advocate.
-
And I am glad he was, but again, this isn't about logic really is it, I didn't look through the hospital records and watch a recording from a security camera in the room and decide who was to blame that way.
-
honestly ..both your parents probably just did the cliche and wanted what was best for you and doctors fucking lied to them. and your parents may not have had a whole activist community trying to warn them against it on social media depending on how old you are..
-
32 so no I didn't have the community online trying to warn them, they didn't even have an online really.
-
i was born november 1985..my husband was born February of 1985. and if i had not been born a girl i would have gotten it too.
-
And I don't doubt that, it also isn't at all the point. It's not the point that it was normal, it's not the point that doctors pushed it, it's not the point that both parents likely had a say. It IS the point that the emotional response to feeling this betrayal focused on mom.

I find it quite distressing that they kept asking you.
-
it was on the computer they logged into everytime they came in my room to ask me. its must have been the hospitals policy to have them ask this and i think many of the nurses asked again out of pure disbelief.
-
How can we change a hospital policy? That would be a good place to look. Also Pre natal groups. We have the national childbirth trust in the UK for new parents. Do you have similar in The USA
-
@circmovie shows that the AAP policy statement was specifically designed to exclude the point of view of the committee on the newborn
