Every 4 years each Supreme Court judge should be up for a vote where the people decide if they want the judge to continue serving on the court. A simple yes/no response. The people should be involved in who serves and remains on the Supreme Court.
The Senate Democrats could have played hardball to block Barrett. Again and again, they play to lose, while Republicans play to win.
Their "resistance" is a sham.

Pretty sure this was an outcome they felt they could live with - they milked it for the expected establishment theater but another corporate justice, even a social extremist, is better than any alternative.
