Do you support some form of universal conscription? I actually think that it would be an angle with which to attack class division and build some common understanding among politically disparate people. There could be a Peace Corps option, or similar, too.

That’s how President Bone Spurs got out of going to Vietnam. The rich will always find a way around conscription, just like the rich will always find a way to get an abortion whether or not it’s legal.

It's sad but many recruiters do lie to you to get you in. If they tell you the truth a lot will not sign up. Which is bad. You really need people that want to join in, knowing the cold hard truth of being in the military increases loyalty and lowers security risks.
