Hospital chains treat clinics and hospitals like Amazon warehouses: patients are the inventory and they want us off their shelves as quickly as possible. To make that happen, they force their warehouse workers (doctors, nurses, PAs, etc.) to work 12-hour days w/o breaks.

I left a medical program about a year into clinical sessions (not nursing or doctor) because they wanted us giving care as if people were numbers instead of patients/people. That's not what I signed up for and I left that program disgusted with our medical system.

One NP who really made a difference in my life kept getting in trouble for spending more than her allotted time per patient, because she took the time needed to find out what was really wrong. It’s terrible how the system grinds up people like you and her.
