our politics are a joke. Full of hubris and corruption. So much so that a politician from the US thinks he can sell off and privatize space itself.

Maybe the space between his ears will be privatized as part of this bill. Really hoping that you advance to the general election. Would be even better if he didn’t advance.

Members of Congress, progressives, conservatives, liberals & moderates all take Money. They go in saying I won’t & all come out Millionaires on a $125k a year. AOC is set for life. You all do it. Put Term limits in place !

Term limits are like putting a band-aid on a stomache ulser.

I'm TOTALLY skeptical about asteroid mining. Because of launch costs. https://theconversation.com/how-spacex-lowered-costs-and-reduced-barriers-to-space-112586 … mentions the Falcon Heavy as sending 16,800 kg to Mars for $60M. That's $3600/kg or $1600/lb.

There's also the problem of what we would bring back. We have pieces of asteroids that have fallen on us: meteorites. They are all stony or iron or stony-iron. The stony ones are much like our planet's mantle in composition - rather ordinary rock.
