@zachdcarter at the time here: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/congress-privatize-asteroids_n_5791672 … The bill was (unintentionally or not) sloppily written, so that it could be construed to mean that the first private company to reach ANY asteroid would own ALL asteroids in the Solar System.
