Couldn’t agree more. When I see an elderly individual working at a grocery store doing bagging, or really any minimum wage work, it infuriates me and saddens me.

At 84, Jackie, like everyone else, ought to have the enforceable individual right to dignified remunerated employment vis-a-vis the U.S. Government so long as she's willing and able to contribute (her genuine CHOICE).

In all fairness, many elderly folks continue to work because they enjoy it, not because they need the money. And earning money powerfully validates a person's self worth, regardless of age or financial resources.
