Why? Last time new program introduced (obamacare) proved to create more problems. Expanding existing programs might be more effective. Like medicare4all is simple, straightforward. Ubi doesn't solve much.

Note to millenials-Careful what you ask for. UBI can be turned off arbitrarily by government (for bad 'social credit score', as in China) more easily than a job can (job protections already in place). Better to have a federal guaranteed job (employer of last resort) ala' New Deal
