Thank you so much for bringing up point 
. Far too many on the left have shown an alarming insensitivity to the material facts of the working class. Far too many do not know how they are going to pay their bills and cannot count on government assistance forthcoming.
On the protestors:
Some may die of COVID they catch while protesting.
If they had a safety net to catch them, many wouldn't be protesting.
We're fighting for universalism — for healthcare, housing, an income, and more for all.
For those protestors, too.

If you take a look at right wing channels of information. It's mostly to do with government power and freedom. They just want to be able to do whatever they want as normal. As well as some people pissed specifically for not having income 1/2

If we had emergency UBI, moratorium on all housing, guranteed covid-19 related healthcare Free at the point of service (at least) less people would be protesting. You would just have the freedom people pissed about not being able to leave home very much.

crew clears the tracks. The RR corp (biz community and gov loonies) are already at a loss - they can choose more deaths or force the schedule on reopening and none of this serves the costumer (We, the ppl) whose just intention was to get out of point A (aforementioned conundrum)

The right feeds on desperation and anger that a pandemic brings exacerbates. The protests may be astroturfed, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a large constituency for them. A functioning safety net would deter some people.
