My position on UBI has changed. I now support it because of coronavirus — as long as it doesn't cause people to lose other benefits — and a $1,200 one-time payment isn't enough.

Good that you are now for op-in UBI. I have met many low income workers and found many would get disqualified from SNAP or medicaid if working for multiple jobs or get a promotion etc. They have to stop working in order to not making too much that month. Op-in UBI fixes that

If you prioritize SNAP over unconditional income to the point where you won't consider UBI if it might decrease enrollment in SNAP, then you fundamentally misunderstand the point of UBI.
