I'm for it, as long as the specific UBI plan is structured so that it doesn't disqualify people from SNAP, Medicaid, etc.!
UBI like the #FreedomDividend is structured to stack on programs outside of the means tested welfare type. You need reread Yangs UBI because it stacks

As someone who was on SNAP, I would eliminate it. It’s well intentioned but it has some conflicting incentives that are restrictive and in some cases dehumanizing. It’s okay to say that well intentioned programs have outlived their use. #UBI should be the new floor 
Talking about UBI as “disqualifying” people from SNAP, TANF, etc… misunderstands the point of the proposal. Means-testing is harmful to the people it is supposed to help. The point of remaking our safety net with a UBI is to eliminate means-testing.
UBI is simply the natural consequence of a social safety net that doesn’t require people to beg for their lives. The safety net offers money. Means-testing withholds that money from some people, including many of the people who need it most.
