The follow-up, though, is brutal. 
A young person in my district who's trans went to a medical center for care. The provider asked if they could be pregnant. They said no, that they're trans. The provider threw up their hands, said "I'm done," and left. We must do better by our LGBTQ+ community.

States with good trans healthcare have medical centers catering to LGBT issues. My doctor is knowledgeable about things that only affect gay and/or trans people. It’s fabulous. Every state and every trans person deserves this care.

holy shit, they deserve to get lit up that hospital needs to know what someone just did to a patient. you don't get to just opt out of treating trans people.
