I saw an idea about taxing those with empty housing as a way to incentivize lowering of rents. Would take some thinking to implement, but made me think - How about a tax incentive for landlords to upgrade existing housing they own to wheelchair accessibility standards? +
Disability rights are housing rights are human rights. People with disabilities often wait 5+ years for accessible, affordable housing. We need accessible social housing & national rent control. People shouldn’t have to live on the streets just because they have a disability.

It would make more options available for those who are in wheelchairs, as many houses for rent simply are not accessible.
