I don't know if this is the case in Tacoma, but in many cities they are doing things like making it impossible to lie down on benches inside covered bus stops etc. and other things to take away what shelters from the elements do exist. +
Tonight is supposed to bring snow and freezing temperatures. I hope everyone sleeping on the streets of Tacoma stays alive tonight. It is barbaric that in the richest country on earth, developers profit and investors sit on EMPTY HOMES while people sleep on the streets.

Here in California, warm food is taxed - so if you are homeless, you can't use your EBT card to get a hot burrito from the 24-hour gas station because it is taxed and therefore doesn't qualify for EBT so the only way to get a hot meal on a cold night is to start a campfire +
