Love this post, although - like you - I dislike those statistics. We DO need to cancel all student debt, make all public colleges and universities tuition-free like they used to be, and greatly expand scholarships and grants for private colleges/universities.

Worse yet student debt is being shouldered unequally by women. For every dollar owed by the average man women owe $1.17 AND WORSE YET women with degrees only make $0.74 to the same dollar men with degrees make. It is a system designed to crush equality. Student debt must end now.
