My position on UBI has changed. I now support it because of coronavirus — as long as it doesn't cause people to lose other benefits — and a $1,200 one-time payment isn't enough.

Doesn't work for people who can't work.

Or who are tired of having their creative or enterprenerial pursuits held back by needing a job. Not to mention many disabled and chronically ill people can work limited hours, it's not always all or nothing. They are two policies that solve two entirely different problems.
