They probably mean the candy coated peanuts that look like baked beans and are called baked beans, but are in fact candy.

Technically they’re called Boston Baked Beans (French burnt peanuts).

Oops, sorry, I am a candy aficionado and Boston beans and French burnt peanuts are similar, but not the same thing. French burnt peanuts are bumpy on the outside and hard, whereas BB beans are smooth and softer. French burnt peanuts are better, imo, but harder on dental work.
