The grounds of the WA State Fair(sorry...the Puyallup Fair) was the site of a WWII internment camp. Our white supremacist incarceration of those deemed threats is nothing new, and its history lives all around us.

Wow. Just went to get coffee on Bainbridge Island and saw this reminder of our past. This coffee shop is where everyone of Japanese ancestry had to register. They had 6 days to sell, rent, and take care of everything before they were sent they knew not where.pic.twitter.com/nbH1ObC4OB
