Q for #globalhealth twitter: anyone know of good studies / data sets that look at total development assistance for health, and total health spending/sources of spending for the three #Ebola affected countries since Ebola?

It certainly is. Some govts don’t feel the need to be all show-ie (rare but there are some) about how & where $$ are spent. But it’s also very difficult to track the money due to double-counting. If you’ve got more than pledged

really broad commitments made by countries, so those commitments can't be associated/tracked for individual recipients 2)
stakeholders publicize disbursement data without any corresponding commitment information

so, it occurs to me that i knew the answer to the question, but am in essence question the use of the tool for people who don't know, and how they should interpret these figures and think about what such an accounting does.
