A wrench never fixed a motor by itself...it did take a person on the end of that wrench...and yes a gun by itself never killed a person...remove the wrench..can't fix the car....remove the gun...can't mass murder people as easy.

Guns are tools. Tools are useless by themselves. But if the goal is to have a mass killing, removing the tool makes the act much harder and less effective. Remove mass killing tools from easy access.
