Probably the best example of how Turkey has linked the PKK to Kurdishness itself is how often accounts like mine get accused of being PKK supporters when commenting on whatever new Turkish state crackdown on Kurdish cultural, political or linguistic rights.

Shouldn't need to resort to a document written by an intern at Stratfor based on rumours to criticize the PKK. C'mon, it starts with "the PKK have a annual budget of $86 billion" Sveral times the defence budget of the UK, France, Germany, Russia, Turkey, China at the time...

There are maybe thousands of photos on the internet of Kurdish men (including 17 year old me next to my uncle with a mustache) dressed in Kurdish women’s clothes and every now and then someone bring them up in an effort to ridicule it without knowing the reason behind the photos.

It is so funny that even the Turks categorize the refugees in their country into civilized/white versus uncivilized/brown refugees, while they western world would put the Turks themselves into the uncivilized/brown category.

“Calling on all parties to deescalate”? What the Kurds should do? Moving away from the bombs? Why don’t you just force your NATO ally Turkey to stop murdering Kurds by bombarding them?

A very happy to all Kurdish journalists working in all parts of Kurdistan and around the world. Your bravery and resilience in the face of systematic attempts to undermine your ability to work is inspiring. Your stories deserve to be heard.

We lost all the students in yesterday’s attack and left with empty class. Please don’t write about Afghan’s pride & resilience anymore. We are tired, exhausted, shattered & devastated. Afghans need a break. Afghans need peace. Afghans need a normal, equal & poor but hopeful life.

One wrote “if AKP wins, the whole Turkey will suffer, if the opposition wins, only the Kurds will suffer. And it is not a nice feeling to suffer alone.” These are not brave enough to stand 4 democratic values. A fascist & a coward politician are here. Different faces, same sh*t.

Whenever Turkey is going through a crisis & the AKP popularity is about to drop, immediately a military operation against the Kurds is expected. With the common hatred against the Kurds, Erdogan saves his ass by uniting all the political parties and their voters behind himself.
