The last thing the majority of vendors want is for patients to have agency over their personal health data. They will use *any* reason, excuse, or ploy to keep your data hostage in their clients' data silos. Why? You aren't their customer. The silo owners are!

and are hampered by the lack of appropriate governance. We lack governance because the vendors and their large clients didn't want to disrupt their business models. So it didn't. Patients and physicians need better lobbyists!

Everybody and their uncle -- along with their cousins and friends -- have worked their way into healthcare and are sucking at the ecosystem's information & data flows. About 20 percent provide *real* value. The rest are unashamed rent seekers and grifters. Time for them to go!

The we're *not* using effectively is the naturally formed communications network that supports the healthcare ecosystem. That network is dynamic, adaptive, distributed, and comprised of nodes that exchange structured and unstructed messages via multiple channels.

There's not much to disagree with here for those states with active, high functioning infrastructure in place. What remains unclear is how will level the playing field for those states that are still behind the curve. As my friend says, ""

The ability to monetize others personal data - as opposed to having to do real work - is like heroin to a particular subset of humanity. It's rampant in healthcare. But, trafficking in others personal health data is only possible because there's a steady supply of eager buyers.

Lack of well thought out and appropriate is what's inhibiting real progress in . The cabal of incumbents in the space -- and their large healthcare organization clients -- favor the status quo. Any change that benefits the populace is bad for them.

MIPS has created another expensive bureaucracy padding the coffers of EHR companies with no demonstrable improvement in outcomes or costs while adding to the non-clinical workflow of physicians

Having an *option* for to provide a single point at which to access my consolidated, longitudinal personal health record would give me better control. Better gatekeeper? Yes! Health data agency belongs to the people, not vendors or their large healthcare clients.

It's a shame that aren't in the forefront of efforts to optimize the flow of personal health information. These mostly non-profit, community based organizations are considered trusted partners by their participants. Instead, we have with new players and new layers.

Thank you, ! We use the 5 Points of Health Care™ framework to compare how the ‘system’ was intended to work v. how it actually works. Within this, we’ve enjoyed great participation from all points. Looking forward to learning more about your work!

Medicine has evolved from a cottage industry to a medical industrial cabal. The systems it installed reduce everything to numbers and acronyms. "Hey, how was last quarter?" RGU = Revenue Generation Unit = Patient RHU = Revenue Harvester Unit =Physicians Huh? What patient?

;-) Bob don’t hold back. Whenever one sector of our economy consists of 17% of GDP ($11,172 per person) I have to expect other people will want a piece of it. Unlike every other service or good though it is built on the backs of people who are often naked, sick or injured.

The community of concerned people want to to improve healthcare for patients & physicians - and wrestle control from medical industrial cabals. Leaders of this ragtag group are emerging. We already have . Others are stepping up. We *can* do this.
