as with the ST Microelectronics announcement, anyone can donate a moderate sum to the Linux Foundation (or LF Edge, LF Energy, etc.) and become a member. membership is not an endorsement or a partnership.

"'Collaboration with IOTA Foundation is another example of the power of collaboration in the OS community and the ways in which our communities can grow stronger together.' said Arpit Joshipura, General Manager, Networking, Edge & IoT, the Linux Foundation." Not an endoresement?

in my experience, quotes like that in press releases are written by the company and then *maybe* signed off by the person who is supposed to have said it regardless, that's not an endorsement IMO (maybe a stock message that's a perk of the membership)

Yeah, to my experience aswell (unfortunately I've been a part of such process). It's still an endorsement imo, regardless if they know what they're endorsing or not.
