I would wager that most cases of red-pilling begin not with Youtube but with some piece of left-flavored stupidity that exceeds one's stupidity-tolerance level. This is the gateway drug to fascism, the trigger that sends young men toward an over-compensating rightward movement.

Dynamic: Mostly white libertarian guys who want to talk about eminent domain, IP , medieval Iceland and rent control are met with "but white guy" by their peers. This eventually morphs into "So?" with one's back up, which looks indistinguishable from alt-right to progressives.

Because people ignore the core reasons that cause that symptom. When poor areas get far less funding for schooling and public services, they don’t get the jobs they need and thus require welfare. But this is apparently too complex for conservatives.
