I don't like vidya but I want to make a 16bit rpg with the time mechanics of majora's mask & the ethos of earthbound- where every action costs time & the world is a puzzle of character interactions- sorta like a visual-novel adaptation of Groundhog Day ya feel me?
How do you imagine the social interaction challenges?

Decision trees which come with cost/benefit attached. Say "fuck you" to get +confidence but -respect. Makes it so the game is never beaten so much as different routes are traced.

Okay so there is basically no "traditional gameplay" but more of an interactive story Could be cool

Exactly, it's the only way to curate interactivity to be aesthetically satisfying.
