The debate on why there are so many lesbians in professional sports but so few gay men is a prime example of mainstream media dancing around the obvious truth that no one dares to mention. Lesbians are on average more masculine, gay men are on average more effeminate.

Which is why the few olympic sports that attract more women than men, such as figure skating, gymnastics and dressage, show the reverse pattern. Plenty of gay men, few to none lesbians.

If you think it's homophobic to state this you are implying that there's something inherently wrong with being atypical for your gender. It's just a neutral observation, and it's visible already in early childhood. https://psycnet.apa.org/record/2017-07850-001 …pic.twitter.com/D2nwbwEJkb

One of the first iterations of PC nonsense I became aware of was an interview of Robin Williams where he said that he had been criticized for some of his flamboyant gay characters "But you can't walk down a street in San Francisco without seeing men like that."

I will never forget when an obviously effeminate gay male sociologist angrily tried to explain to me why the notion that gay men are less masculine was just a pernicious myth with no basis in truth. I had a hard time trying to keep myself from laughing.

Yet when it comes to the number of sexual partners the avg homosexual male has over a period of time it fits in with the stereo type for males in general(its even higher) while lesbians fit in with women in general ,having much fewer partners over a lifetime

Is there any research? Is it cultural, psychological or physical. Are they more socially male, are they actually more aggressive (if so, why, is there an evolutionary benefit,) or are they actually stronger, faster, etc? So much good stuff to discuss. Unfortunately taboo

Except when it come to the number of sex partners over a given time :homeosexuals behave like staight males would if most women would allow it; theyd hv alot more partners over a life time-where as lesbians remain faithful to a partner & hv less of them over a lifetime

Same with erotica preferences. Gay men watch porn, just like straight men. Lesbians read erotic novels and stories, just like straight women. Funny thing is that trans men who undergo hormone therapy get male erotica preferences (and reverse) but do not change sexual orientation.

What is the sexual orientation of transmen?-it seems that it would be a kind of lesbianism(&,likewise, transwomen, may be a kind of homosexuality?)

Tjere are a few trans men who are androphilic (ie attracted to men), this is a revealing testimony on how their sexuality changes when taking HRThttps://mattkailey.wordpress.com/2010/06/30/testosterone-and-sex-drive-my-second-adolescence/ …

Ive heard of transwomen who are attracted to women-someone is born male ,feels like is born in the wrong body-is "really" female,mindwise-& then ,is attracted to the "same" sex..is that a trans-lesbian(to coin a term) or a person who is male but has sex with females sans penis?

Sure, but the reason it's easier to come out as a gay figure skater is precisely because there are plenty of them in figure skating

I don't think this is *quite* correct. Gay men are, on average, more anti-masculine; and gay women are more anti-feminine. It's more about rejection of presumptive gender identity than embrace of the opposite. I don't know many women who act like gay men or vice versa.

It's visible even in toddlers who grow up to be gay adults. And of course there are differences between gay men and straight women, the former have male typical testosterone levels after all.https://twitter.com/RealYeyoZa/status/1148521587055964162 …
