When do liberals try to trash #Lincoln? All I know is that Lincoln would be ashamed of the racist, immigrant-hating, poor-bashing GOP of today. Good people are good people, and Lincoln was a good man. Good people aren't limited to one political party.

-
Wait... you just made a BLANKET statement about the GOP, and then said we shouldn't make blanket statements. LOL. See that? Please show me where the GOP is "racist" or "immigrant-hating" or "poor-bashing". Go ahead, try. -VJ
-
Here's an example. Or are you gonna claim this man is an aberration? http://www.newsweek.com/alt-right-gop-candidate-paul-nehlen-suspended-twitter-after-racist-markle-802863 … I did say that there are good people in more than one party. Seriously, though, when have liberals said this about Lincoln?
-
Google this: Republican in name only. Nehlen is that. I never said liberals have done what Nehlen did to Markle. I said they trash Lincoln and say he freed the slaves for economic reasons. Stay focused. -VJ
-
Look, I don't think that anyone hates Lincoln except maybe racists. He's a pretty universally admired president. Most people realize he was a decent man. He paid for doing the right thing with his life. Can you give an example of a liberal trashing Lincoln recently?
-
I never said anyone hates Lincoln. I said they trash him by saying his motivation for freeing the slaves was for economic reasons. When they say that, they call him AND the leaders in the South, liars, since they ALL stated that the reason for the war was SLAVERY. -VJ
-
When did someone specifically do this recently? Who did this? I have never heard anyone do this that I can recall. Do you think that Lincoln would be proud of the GOP of today? No offense, but this sounds like a
#Fox News talking point. -
Please go back to the original tweet above and then scroll down and read the replies. Several people have made the claim right here in this tread. And YES, I believe Abraham Lincoln WOULD be proud of the GOP. Why don't you tell me of something he'd be ashamed of. You cant. -VJpic.twitter.com/4UzVzKxyb6

So is David Duke
-
We call those RINOs (Republican in Name Only). -VJ
-
Sure because that's a convenient way to dismiss the facts (and people) who don't fit into your narrative.
-
Nope. It's a name we give people who co-opt the Republican name without bearing any of the fruit of the ideology. Kind of like "milk-toast Christian". -VJ
-
not sure if you have noticed, but the republican party has recently been taken over by some people who have a different kind of republican ideology than you do.
-
Prove that statement. -VJ
-
David Duke, Donald Trump, Steve Banon, Steve Miller, John Kelly, Sebastian Gorka.
-
David Duke is a non issue. As far as the others you've mentioned, prove they "have a different kind of Republican ideology than" I do. I think you know what I'm asking, and I think you KNOW you have no logical argument to defend your claims. So why waste my time? -VJ

the republican party at this time was the people from the north making him what we call the democrats of the day. Also, nobody is trashing or hating on Lincoln, but we all do know Lincoln had really only said this shit to say it. He said it for political gain.
#justsayingg -
Nope on all counts. You've made a lot of false statements there that you wouldn't be able to substantiate if your life depended on it. I don't know why people spend their lives arguing points they have no clue about. Why do you do that? Isn't it kind of like living a lie? -VJ

u should take your own advice and then you might can maybe then find out boss!

I think Vinnie needs to learn about the Dixiecrats...
-
I think YOU do. I already know all about them. Here's your first lesson: MOST racist Dixiecrats became Democrats. In fact, Byrd, Hillary Clinton's mentor, fought HARD to stop the Republican-authored Civil Rights Act of 1957. He filibustered to try and blocked it's passing. -VJpic.twitter.com/nRe9rGldde

1. Why are you signing your tweets? I see your name up there, you don’t have to. 2. Dixiecrats were a states rights conservative Democrat group, which paved way to the current political stance of the Republican Party. All thanks to Truman and JFK.
-
1. Because I fell like it. 2. False. I just posted a graphic showing that MOST of the Dixiecrats became DEMOCRATS. Why? Because DEMOCRAT ideology more closely fits THEIR ideology. What is THEIR ideology? Separatism (black-Americans, white-Americans, everyone in their place). -VJ

I explained this above. Please reread my tweets, and google “Southern Strategy.”
