Nope. People are employed out of need. It’s not charity. If they employ 100 people at $10/hr they’ll need at least 100 at $15/hr, too. But with more people making more money, demand would likely increase & the company would have to hire more people to meet demand. #economics

$7.25 at 40 hours per week is $14,500 per year, plus taxes. Kiosks already cost way less than that. But your logic basically leads to “you have to work for 10 cents a day or they’ll automate.” If you can’t pay to live on your wage, there’s no reason to work the job.

The median age of fast food workers today is 29. Manufacturing left for higher shareholder profits and these are the jobs now. They’re going to automate the jobs at whatever wage. It doesn’t matter to them.
