Psychiatry believes mental illness to be caused by genetics, even though they don't have proof, the genetic markers for any mental illness except schizophrenia. All the psych patients came from broken homes, and when I said trauma is not studied, the treatment team agreed.

If it's genetic, than the patient needs to be on medication their whole life. If it's trauma, it can be treated with mindfulness, trauma-reduction therapy, etc. The entire hospital was sponsored by McKesson, the leading pharma wholesaler. I workes for a year for their competitor
