The sec def of SK gave Trump credit because he knew they had to flatter his ego so he would get out of the way. Trump had no idea these talks were going to commence until SK announced them.
That’s not accurate. Trump had people over there working it out.

The South Korean delegation came to Washington at the beginning of March to inform Trump these talks were going to happen. Trump had no idea the day of the announcemet until he was told.

There was a reason Trump wasn’t directly involved. He has no clue what he’s doing, and could jeopardize the entire process.
