No, it won’t. Because demand for healthcare services is automatically very high. Healthcare providers have absolutely no reason to significantly lower costs. All it does is take money from everybody in the marketplace. 1/2

It’s collusion. They don’t have to directly communicate to collude. They know what’s in their best interests and they all do *that*. Same reason Democrats and Republicans don’t offer significantly better candidates. It’s not in their best interests. 2/2

1. The demand for services is high, but the supply for services would also be high in a less regulated market (elimination of market entry barriers). 2. The GOP/DNC don't 9ffer better candidates because they have shut out competition (ballot access) for third party candidates.

What market-entry barriers are there for doctors, specifically?

Seriously?

Yes. I’d love to see you say “they need to go to school and get licensed” as a negative against doctors.

Yes, licensing and such is indeed a barrier to entry, just as it is with hairdresser and taxi drivers. Cc:

To the original point: This sort of stuff is why the Libertarian Party never wins anything.

Its also the same reason libertarians run as republicans, its so they can win. The bases are bigger and its tough going against the hundreds of year old dem/rep establishment. Don't throw stones in a glass house

Ron Paul and Rand Paul are Republicans. They want to ban abortion, and they frequently earmark(ed) bills to add massive spending to benefit their state/district.
