Healthcare as a purely capitalist system is *always* a captive market with or without regulation. Because when you’re sick or hurt, you have no choice.
I stand by my original statement, that the Libertarian Party conflates individual rights with corporate rights, and industrial rights, and has no real grasp of *actual* economics. They get individual rights correct, as well as warfare, policing, etc. But the economics are *bad*.

But you can say no. In a free market, you can say no to a healthcare option if the service is poor or the cost is too great. And if there is a need for better service/lower costs, the market will provide based on basic supply and demand.

No, it won’t. Because demand for healthcare services is automatically very high. Healthcare providers have absolutely no reason to significantly lower costs. All it does is take money from everybody in the marketplace. 1/2
