Libertarians will never win elections until they: 1. Start running credible candidates who understand marketing, public relations, and true political campaigning. 2. Stop playing the "libertarian-purity card" that alienates potential voters.
It’s no different than being at the ATM and someone putting a gun in your back “give me all your money.” It’s a threat of death. It’s not a *voluntary* exchange. Which is why I said Libertarians tend not to understand economics. 4/4

If that's the only place you're allowed to go, but if a hospital can open up next door and charge less then you have choice and there's potential the price will drop. Even when it comes to extreme prices having some option is better than none. A poor and alive is better than dead

I’ll say it again, if you cannot say “no” and leave the marketplace, you’re a captive market. And there’s no reason for a hospital to dramatically lower rates if they know you *must* pick one. Gas stations across the street from each other are always max 1-2 cents off.

A regulated business would create that exact scenario. Deregulate, allow others to get into the market. People will tell your 500k hospital to "bleep off." History shows, regulation drives up costs. Which is why healtcare is as terribly expensive as it is now.

I explained it in full. You’re proving my point that Libertarians don’t understand economics. How much is a hot dog at 7-Eleven? How much is a hot dog at a baseball park? One is a captive market.

I'm no anarchist, so theres has to be mild regulation. I'm not diselusional to that. No laws or regulation society is basically a tribal society which isn't gkod either.pic.twitter.com/3wkGBcq9pv

Flawed. Healthcare is a captive market by over regulation. Healthcare hasn't been a free market for decades. Which is why this was a bad example from the beginning. But in interest of learning, ill try to apply your logic elsewhere.

Healthcare as a purely capitalist system is *always* a captive market with or without regulation. Because when you’re sick or hurt, you have no choice.
