The Democratic Party is busy ganging up against progressives in races all over the country. If you think they’re going to do *any* of this if they win a majority, you don’t understand the problem.

I didn't say it would happen, I said it needs to happen. I know full well many Democrats wouldn't do something like this unless we absolutely force them to -- but that's what I plan to do.

You can’t force them to do things they don’t want to do by voting for them. If you could, that same logic would work for Republicans in office now. The only way you can force them to do things they don’t want to do is to vote against them.

Democrats are far from perfect, and I support independent progressive challengers. But if you don't see the fundamental difference in how Democrats and Republicans respond to principled public pressure, it's YOU that doesn't understand the problem.

I understand it perfectly. Your partisanship is getting the best of you.

Yes, I am aware. Four months ago, I worked for the organization that created that graphic -- directing campaigns for consumer protections. If you want to prove your progressive cred, I suggest you stop trying to undermine your natural allies with condescending tweets.

The problem here is partisanship. Always has been. If you want to fix this, you need to be willing to let corporate Democrats lose. Even if it’s to Republicans. This idea of “vote in better Democrats” is partisanship. Why not vote in better *Republicans* like Ike or Teddy?pic.twitter.com/rzJUxZS4sh

This below is the Democratic Party. Vote for independents and third parties and you can fix this. Otherwise, you perpetuate it indefinitely by voting for any of them in hopes you can “force them” to change once elected.pic.twitter.com/AkgMby3UMC
