True. There really is no solution. Politics isn’t the answer, for sure.

Not all jobs are available within biking distance. Normally, areas around business centers are expensive places to live - much more expensive than commuting in a car. Which is why people are forced to do that. That’s my point.

Right. Find one that is or don’t complain about oil companies then. They get you to your job while giving your kids asthma. You can feel good about your work. Thinking that some man being paid by the oil companies cares about your vote is foolish.

I really like you, Dennis. Just so we’re clear. Genuinely so. But, to me, that sounds exactly like “Don’t want to be killed by police? Just do as they say” and “Don’t want to be poor? Get a job!”

I like you too Steve. All I am saying is evil businessmen and evil politicians worry about your money more than your vote.

Of course. But people still have the power, should they realize it, to replace the politicians, by running and voting for the non-corrupt candidates. Can’t do that with corporations, but we can with politicians.

It is sewn up tight. You don’t get through the door if you are not corrupt. There is no hope for a political solution. It is fairytale Fantasyland shit that only exists in movies and other fiction like text books. $$$$
