Parties care about one thing: Gaining and maintaining power/money for themselves. Period. They are there to protect the corporations from the people. The two party system is designed to fool the people into thinking there is a choice. It is nothing more than a good cop, bad cop situation. The problem is in thinking there is some kind of legislative solution to fix it.

The solution isn’t easy and will take years or decades, if it comes at all. It starts at educating the public and them refusing to vote for *anybody* who takes *any* lobbyist money. It doesn’t start at legislation.

The solution is to live your life and help others when you can. Vote with whatever money they leave for you after taxes. If you don’t like Cone buy Pepsi and if you don’t like either drink water. You don’t like oil companies, move closer to work, ride a bike.
