There’s no guarantee those 45,000 would’ve voted. Over 1.5 million *eligible* voters in Wisconsin didn’t vote in 2016. So why are we focusing on the 45,000 here?
Give people candidates to vote *for* and they’ll show up to vote.

Couldn't agree more Steve. Get someone on the ballot to get voters excited for a change. Oh, and those 45000 voters weren't blocked. They couldn't follow the states current guidelines to be eligible. Big difference.

The Voter ID laws target poor people. I’d be okay with those laws if state IDs were free. But they aren’t. And that’s the issue. Those laws essentially say, “Pay this fee to vote.” That’s wrong.

Why doesn’t someone at the state elected level recognize the issue, and resolve it? Seems like that shouldn’t be too difficult. But we are talking about governmental process I guess..

Because both parties, as with everything, want the problem to remain a problem. That way they can divide the electorate to support their side.

And therein lies our political conundrum.. The people elect. The elected fight across the aisle. The people elect. The elected fight across the aisle. Repeat..

Precisely. And in truth, the fights the parties pick are almost always designed to divide the electorate. The parties don’t fight over war, domestic surveillance, military funding, bank bailouts, etc.

Exactly, yet we “the voting public” continue along the same path. Arguing all day long about why our “guy” is better and smarter. All the while the elected officials chuckle whilst battling each other for no apparent valid reason.

The only valid reason is to ensure wins - power and money - for their party.

Any idea how that cycle gets "broken"? There's certainly no "or very few" elected officials that feel the need to resolve anything we've gone back and forth on here...

Run for office as an independent. Win.
