That’s true. But if you don’t have people on the ground there verifying identities and allegiances, you risk ending up with the word of someone who’s part of an actual terror cell or something like that. Not that that would ever happen...

I mean, even if it were local news interviewing people about witnessing an event, they’d do whatever they could to verify the people are who they say they are. In warfare, you risk facilitating easy propaganda by blindly interviewing people from across oceans like that.
