I think the bottom line in "what's true" is that parties aren't the problem. One-man parties who think they're saviors never work - lookup Bayrou in France, and many others. Progress is done together building on a pre-existing set of values and standpoints.
Being independent doesn’t mean I’m by myself. It means my loyalty is to the people, only. Not to parties, corporate donors, lobbyists, or PACs. Bernie’s been an Independent his entire life. If you think he’s not changing things, you’re not paying attention.

Bernie's votes against Trump would have made Hillary won, that's not even a discussion. Left votes got split and died off. Parties like yours are ok on theory but revolve around a leader rather than historically shared values

I’m not in a party. Hillary lost because she deserved to. And Bernie campaigned more for her than she did for herself. Nobody is *owed* votes. They’re earned. She failed.

In europe socialism is a value. It means healthcare, holiday laws, limited work week etcetera. Right wing means more security everywhere. People get these values. When outsiders come trying to break the 2party system ppl get confused.

Because basically by pretending to do better than both parties, you have to waste considerable effort communicating where you stand on everything and creating new ideologies. And you're the only one carrying that vision, while ppl remain on left or right parties.
