What about online retailers? Amazon? eBay? All those that people can order the same exact thing they can get from Toys R Us but have it shipped right to them at their house and not have to deal with hassle if people and driving.
Millennials are strapped with debt and can’t find good-paying jobs.
It’s not a “demographic time bomb” it’s an economic one.
And Toys R Us contributed to the problem by paying crap wages with no benefits while their executives looted the company for millions.

That plays a role, too. But I think anybody who’s taken a child into a toy store, or even down a toy aisle at a different store, knows that sales are definitely better when kids can put their hands on things.

Isn't this most "service" & "retail" jobs? The top makes their millions/billions, off the backs of workers they pay little/nothing in comparison. Enron. Kmart. Sears. Circuit City. Walmart. McDonalds. Any publicly traded company, basically. The workers in the field make little.

Also, what good are "benefits", if they make your workers' check almost nothing? People are always like, "This company has good BENEFITS." Benefits that reduce checks by nearly 50% when your signed up for them?

If someone were afforded health coverage, even at crap wages, it’s helpful. It’s certainly not enough.
