If 51% of people decide 49% should be slaves, then what? The point is that the rights of the minority need to be respected and protected. That doesn’t happen with a direct democracy.

Your suggestion that that majority are wolves doesn't hold up if there were more wolves than sheepfood the wolves wouldn't live long at all something the majority wouldn't decide to do to itself now would it but yes oligarchs would. Quotes must be logical or they are propaganda.
