California has magazine limits also. No more than 10 rounds. Do something about the 20, 30, 40, 75 and 100 round magazines.

We do have that magazine limit. The San Bernardino shooting happened anyway. There are billions of high-capacity magazines in circulation. Laws only help punish people after they commit a crime. They don’t prevent the crime.

That's because you can drive over state lines and get high capacity magazines. There need to be national regulations. It's like saying Chicago has restrictive laws and a lot of shootings. If no one in Chicago could drive to the next town over and buy guns it might make an impact.

That’s not why. It’s because there are billions of them already. The SB shooters got those rifles from a friend and the magazines were from before the ban. They could tell by the construction of the mags. Laws aren’t magic.

It we stopped selling them, there would be way fewer on the market. The law abiding citizens you represent would not be so willing to sell them. This isn't just a California problem, it's national.

The law-abiding citizens still have their houses broken into, which is how most weapons end up in the wrong hands. Then the stolen merch is sold on the illicit market.

So if you don't believe in laws, what is it that you want to be paid to do by the people of California if you are elected? Serious question. Accounting?

Who said I don’t believe in laws? I said bans don’t work when there’s a market for the thing being banned. Look at illicit drugs, for example. How’s the drug war doing? Good? Laws can do lots of things, but prohibition of goods or services with markets don’t work. Never have.
